Eva Keatley Poysky

Eva Keatley Poysky was the wife of George Jacob Poysky. They lived most of their married life on a dairy farm in the Beaver Drainage District, Quincy, OR. George was a civil engineer, and played an active role in the maintenance of the drainage district. Eva Keatley, a graduate of Oregon Agricultural College, was a teacher prior to her marriage. Once married, women were not hired as teachers.

Photo taken at Granada Stuido, Longview, WA. Eva was living in Skamokawa, WA, teaching 4th, 5th and 6th graders at the Skamokawa Grade School. She retired from teaching about 1966, spending her senior years in Skamokawa and visiting children and family members around the US.
